Rubrics for 1st - 5th
The Grading Rubrics will be for Internet and Computer Skills, Typing, Participation and Coding
Computer and Internet Rubric for 1st - 5th grade
O = Knows how to use skills without being helped – on their own.
G = Knows how to use skill, but occasionally needs help remembering how to use skill – prompts used, asks teacher or another student.
S = Student frequently needs help with his/her skills.
U = Student always needs help, absolutely can’t do anything on his/her own.
Typing Rubric for 1st - 5th grade
O = Comes in quietly, sits or stands at seat, fingers on the ‘homey keys’, types the correct material.
G = Comes in talking, but settles down within 5 minutes, sits or stands at computer, some talking, fingers on the ‘homey keys’ most of the time or at least tries, types the correct material.
S = Comes in talking and continues throughout class time talking, gets out of seat and walks around, very little typing, tries to do the home keys then gives up and doesn’t try anymore.
U = Student does not do any typing.
Participation for 1st - 5th grade
O = Always on task with their work, doesn’t talk except to ask questions or when allowed to talk.
G = Talks occasionally and needs to be told to get on task.
S = Off task and talks regularly and disrupts the whole class.
U = Never on task and always disrupts the class.
Coding for 1st - 5th grade
O = Always on task, proceeds steadily through the program, helps other students.
G = Comes in talking, but settles down within 5 minutes, off task occasionally, helps other students.
S = Talks too much and off task, does very little coding, always needs help.
U = Student does not do any typing.
